• Face sideways on the treadmill.
    Take a quarter squat position with a wide stance.
    Shuffle sideways for a specified amount of time, then switch sides.
  • Start with a shoulder width stance.
    Stay on your toes, step right, tap your left toe to the ground, plant your right foot and raise your left leg.
    Then repeat in the opposite direction.
  • Stand upright, feet together, facing forward, ready to move laterally.
    Move right foot behind left, then step left foot to the side.
    Alternate crossing and stepping, increase speed, maintain rhythm and balance.
  • Start with a shoulder width stance.
    Quickly tap your feet while moving laterally.
