• Lie on your back on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground. Place a barbell across your hips and grasp it with both hands.
    Keeping your arms straight, push through your heels to lift your hips off the ground and raise the barbell.
    Hold the bridge position for a moment, then slowly lower your hips back to the starting position.
  • Hold the end of the bar in a goblet position.
    Push your hips back and break at the knees.
    Reach at least parallel with the ground before pushing through your heels back to the starting position.
  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Maintain the natural arch in your back and put the bar on your back. Squeezing your shoulder blades and raise your chest.
    Grip the bar across your shoulders and support it on your upper back. Unwrack the smith machine by straightening your legs.
    Bend your knees as you lower the weight without altering the form of your back until your hips are below your knees.
    Raise the bar back to starting position, lift with your legs and exhale at the top.
  • Use an ankle attachment. The cable should be set to the bottom of the crossover machine.
    Break at the knee, push your ankle straight back, extending at the hip. Hold for a one count when you feel a contraction in your glutes.
    Then flex at the hips until you are back into your original position.
