• Lie flat on bench and grip bar slightly narrower than shoulder-width.
    Lower bar toward upper chest by bending elbows forward, not flaring out.
    Extend elbows to press bar back to starting position above chest.
  • Be careful getting the bar into place overhead. Push your elbows forward while keeping your elbows tucked in.
    Look for what feels like a stretch in your triceps. Extend your elbows until your fists are pointed at the ceiling.
  • Lay flat on a decline bench with your feet in the pads. With straight arms unrack the bar.
    Lower the bar to your mid chest
    Raise the bar until you've locked your elbows.
  • Lay flat on the bench with your feet in the pads. With a narrow grip on the bar, straighten your arms
    Lower the bar to your lower-mid chest
    Slowly raise the bar until you've locked your elbows.
